Welcome to Graystone Winery where our specialty is Port.

It’s an exciting time for Graystone. We bottled our first wine in September 2002 and since have received recognition around the Country. Our two Ports have received awards in every competition entered both nationally and internationally.

Hidden along Clifton's eastern border, Graystone is one of Colorado Wine Country's newest additions. Founded in 2001, this small boutique-style winery has just produced its second Port, a Pinot Gris Port named Lipizzan. Graystone was built in 2000, and rests in the middle of the vineyards' 25 acre estate. Long known for its fruit producing climate and soil, new vineyards are being planted everywhere in the Grand valley. The micro-climate and soil are ideal for producing a remarkable vitality and character in the grapes. Warm summer temperatures and cool nights throughout the growing season provide perfect conditions for maturity and balance.

Named for the gray, majestic shale bluffs surrounding the Grand Valley and Colorado River, Graystone is also close to wild horse country. These bluffs and mesas are still home to a large band of wild horses. Truly the wild, wild West and awesome Wine Country!

Located on Highway 6 East, on the Palisade side of the overpass to Clifton. If coming from I-70, take Exit 37 and turn left at the first intersection. The Tasting room and gift shop are just one mile on Highway 6 East.
